Rio Epic offers amazing winter fly fishing trips on the San Juan in northern New Mexico as well as the Pine and Animas Rivers near Durango. Crowd-free, hungry trout and mild Southwest weather.

San Juan

The most consistent winter waters

Enjoy a winter float or wade trip. Primarily a nymph fishery in the winter but the dry fly fishing can be epic. Oh, streamer fishing? Shhhhh, yeah pretty sweet too.

Pine

Animas

Durangos home water and winter action

Animas trout in the winter can be a blast. Nymph and streamer fishing tend to be the most productive.

$500 two anglers

Pine River private waters has a $75 per angler rod fee that is not included.

Rates on our two person trips is NOT per angler, it is for both.

Not included: $50 for taxes/fees, fishing license & gratuity for your guide.

what is included

Your professional Rio Epic guide, flies (including top secret ones) as well as terminal tackle and gear are all included. Guides will offer a yummy streamside lunch, snacks and drinks. Your Epic guide will also have water on hand to top-off client's personal water bottles.

Need to borrow a fly rod/reel or waders & boots?

No problem, they are included at no extra cost.

There is an additional charge of $50 (taxes/fees). Customary gratuity for your guide as well as a valid Colorado or New Mexico fishing license are also not included. Some trips on private waters have additional fees and will be discussed when booking the trip or with your guide.
