We wonder if some of our guests come for the lunches more than the fishing. Most lunches are build your own deli sandwiches. Pastrami, smoked turkey, salami, yummy cheeses and topped off with avocado, tomato and various condiments. Some guides will get even more creative. If you or any on in your group has diet restrictions we will help accommodate those needs. Chips, cookies, crackers and drinks will also be available.

Lunches are served on our full day trips. On 1/2 day trips drinks and snacks are provided.

FAQ
Q: When is the best time of year to visit and fish?
A: We are asked this one a lot and the answer is simple; when ever you can. We fish and guide year-round here in Southwest Colorado and northern New Mexico. We have incredible winter fishing due to mild winter weather and low crowds. Spring is when the big fish hunt with summer offering consistent fishing on all bodies of water. Fall, a guides favorite, is fantastic with the fish being aggressive and bulking up for winter.

weather
The weather in our region can be very unpredictable. Even though we have numerous beautiful sunny days, there are times that rain and snow can come in unexpectedly. We guide rain or shine. At times in the summer and fall, torrential rain storms will cause our some rivers to muddy up and swell to un-fishable flows. On occasion, this forces us to change our plans and fishing locations. Just remember to be flexible and ready for an adventure. We have a number of fishing options as well as back up plans. We will do what it takes to get you on the best water in any conditions.
Keeping it safe during a thunderstorm will be high priority. Rods will be put down and boats parked in the event of close lightning strikes. We would much rather fish under a bright blue southwest sky however, the days that are dark with low clouds loaded with rain, sleet and snow can be some of the best days on the water. Clouds will typically kick off serious hatches of aquatic insects. And we know what that mean; happy and active trout. On very rare occasions the weather will deteriorate enough to force a shortened day. In most cases we take a quick break, let the weather clear and then get right back at it. But safety is a high priority for us.
