learn the basics in casting and gear
Learn basic fly casting along with basic gear needs to get started in the sport of fly fishing. Great way to get the basics under your belt. Two and three hour classes available. Individuals looking to learn or groups we have a custom class to meet your schedule and needs.

Year-roud float trips for trophy trout
Learn advanced fly casting including roll, reach and other techniques including double hauling to increase distance. This class will focus on anything you want to improve on. Two and three hour classes available. This also a custom class to meet your schedule and needs.

two-handers/spey casting
Float fishing near Durango
Learn basic to advanced two handed/spey casting. Either trout spey or larger rod weights for anadromous species like Atlantic salmon and steelhead. These classes are geared towrd what you want to learn. Learn these techniques form us us to expand you fly casting.

what is included
Your professional Rio Epic guide, flies (including top secret ones) as well as terminal tackle and gear are all included. Guides will offer a yummy streamside lunch, snacks and drinks. Your Epic guide will also have water on hand to top-off client's personal water bottles.
Need to borrow a fly rod/reel or waders & boots?
No problem, they are included at no extra cost.

There is an additional charge of $50 (taxes/fees). Customary gratuity for your guide as well as a valid Colorado or New Mexico fishing license are also not included. Some trips on private waters have additional fees and will be discussed when booking the trip or with your guide.
